Investment specialists provide advice and assistance related to investments and other financial products and services. They provide information and support to customers or prospective clients over the phone, via email, or using an online support platform. They answer questions and give detailed explanations about products and services. Their role also includes assisting clients in resolving any issues or concerns they may have with their current accounts. They guide new clients in opening accounts and completing the initial documents and other necessary setup processes.

Investment specialists typically have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a business field. These roles generally require one or more financial licenses, such as Series 63 or Series 7, and may have additional certification requirements. In-depth understanding of investment principles and financial products is helpful.
