Pros
- A real togetherness across the company working towards a common set of goals - Ability to get involved and make changes that drive real improvements - Roles generally have a broad exposure which... helps you to improve your skill set and keeps day to day work interesting - Friendly and welcoming. People are always willing to give up their time to help you and listen to your input and ideas - Culture of feedback across all levels (but done in a way that is fair and objective and from a place of wanting to help people improve) - Although a relatively small organisation with a huge opportunity to grow, it does have a lot of processes and systems in place compared to an early stage start up which makes life easier - Extremely open communication from senior levels of the organisation providing updates on how the company is performing, opportunities, challenges etc.
Cons
- There are lots of opportunities across the org from a role perspective but it's obviously not as many and as specialised as it is for a much larger org. For example, it would be difficult to work... in a very narrow area of focus and progress within that area as you would probably be able to in a much larger company. (I think there are upsides that outweigh this though)
Pros
