Pros
Steep learning curve, lots of responsibility (direct contact to BOD) Flat management structure, pursuing meritocracy Lots of young intelligent people, high energy and great humor New perspectives... on working hard and what to do (and not to do)
Cons
Lack of diversity, "one-fits-all" Poor salary, hustling their employees Loooooooong hours, no private life outside the office Demotivating management behavior (depends on who you are)
Advice to Management
Stop your shady business behind the curtains and open your eyes for the new generations' values. Working in venture capital has changed dramatically in recent years and doing as usual will make you... run straight into a wall someday. Your current culture doesn't allow for creativity nor sustainable scaling. Furthermore, try to be a bit more innovative and make something fun instead of copying something else.
