Advice to Management
During several of the 5+ years I've worked for Viki, I had the good fortune to report directly to CEO Sam Wu. Sam is smart, open minded and calm. He never once lost his cool or got upset, Instead,... he's rational, sound and focused on solutions and principles rather than personalities. Now, he's an analytic personality type, so he leans towards the rational rather than the exhuberant, but I always felt he was personally interested in me and my success. He was easy to talk to and had a good sense of humor, just not a bit reserved which is normal for analytics. In my 2+ decades of work experience, he was the best manager I've ever had. Anyone who complains that talking to him was 'cringe-worthy' has no idea of how to behave in a professonal environment with a mix of introverts, extroverts, analytics, drivers etc. People aren't going to relate exactly like you in every situation, some are exuberant, some are reserved, but I knew and felt Sam's genuine interest in my success on a regular basis.
