10 Hour Shifts. I prefer 8 hour shifts. The extra 2 hours make a difference.

Does Amazon offer a wellness program?
Pros
It's a unique opportunity to be a part of a company that continuously strives to foster a start-up environment at the scale Amazon does. Amazon does well with maintaining the hiring bar, and thus you are surrounded by people smarter than you in every team you'll work with. Innovation is encouraged at micro and macro levels and data-driven decisions are made rapidly to mitigate stagnation. Opportunities to identify and act upon think big ideas are omnipresent and those who bring cost-cutting or customer experience-improving mechanisms to life are recognized.
Cons
The fast pace and need to maintain aggressive growth rates creates a challenging environment for employees to keep up in. Work-life balance can be difficult to maintain. I am lucky to be in a team with excellent leaders that strive to preserve work-life balance and who genuinely look to create a fun and rewarding culture for everyone. However, you must speak for your own development. Managers are more stretched than you are in terms of bandwidth, so if you aren't crystal clear with them on your plans for skill growth and career advancement and lay out a plan to achieve your goals, they don't have the time to focus on you. In terms of benefits, Amazon has excellent health insurance and compensation, however the perks you may see at other tech companies likely don't exist here. There isn't much of a wellness program (i.e. gyms on campus or gym membership reimbursement), no snack bars or free campus food, and they've ended the annual summer and winter employee parties.
