Does Clifford Chance have any sort of mentoring programme?

Pros

Global presence allows unique experiences on multi-national deals and opens opportunities for secondments to other offices. Seniors see the value in developing juniors and provide great opportunities and mentorship. Training in the graduate program is often hosted off-site in Hong Kong or Singapore which encourages regional networking early. Staff interested in particular corporate responsibility and ESG areas are encouraged to contribute to existing groups or start their own indicatives with full support from the firm. Office size is ideal as it allows most staff to be on first name basis, but also has the resources of a global magic circle firm.

Cons

Resources aren't as plentiful as the London office however still sufficient.

Seniors see the value in developing juniors and provide great opportunities and mentorship.

How do employees feel about their professional development opportunities at Clifford Chance?

All good outside P2P Process

In the process of P2P the management follows dictatorship and team members are not allowed to raise his or her concern and if raised these are not addressed by the management and pressed down, no attention is given to the employee values, decisions and made to work extra hours and even on weekends in the name of efficiency because if one of the team member resigns the replacement is not hired putting extra burden on the remaining team. Further the employees are moved from one team to another without their consent under their favourites DM handing these teams which are incapable and don’t even have the knowledge of that process. The concept of rich gets richer and poor get poorer is followed in P2P process i.e. the favourite lickers get promoted with good salary and the hardworking ones get less paid with no promotions and extra workload as punishment. The Code of Conduct followed in this process is just a myth and finally HR is also the puppet of the management with no power and supporting their decisions by putting bell curves on hard earned appraisals of employees and if one employee is working in this process for the last 10 years and getting good ratings with promotions, the CTC will not cross the served tenure i.e. 10Lacs leading to inequality at the same level positions. If anyone is fan of the web series “Squid Game” and wants to play the same in real life please join the P2P team of Clifford Chance because every day there will be new game and for survival you need to win since such high level of politics is played by the management that even BJP government needs to take classes from them to win the next elections. Also there are no trainings given to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge however they are being asked to value add in the process which is complete nonsense.
