Pros

Great benefits: 401k match (up to 6%) Excellent vision, dental and health insurance Nice gym in the building Standing desks are now available to most employees People: COO division people are very friendly and helpful. Good culture fit for people who are closer to retirement age. The median age is probably 40 and above.

Cons

There are not many young people working in back office which probably is the reason why a lot of processes that can be automated are still stuck in the flintstone ages. Slow in adopting new technology. Senior management speaks highly about the benefits of new technology like robotics and automation, but still prefer powerpoint presentations and piecharts printed on paper. Terrible compensation in COO division if you are VP and below. Internal promotion for same role doesn't provide you a big increase in salary. Better to switch jobs. Little growth in skillsets. Nuff said.

Advice to Management

Hire more tech savvy people to join the senior mgmt table. Back office is not sexy work, to attract good talent, you need to invest more in process automation and have people who can manage this process well!

Excellent vision, dental and health insurance
