What is the hiring process like at Edwards Lifesciences?

Pros

Good health benefit and generous PTO with rollover

Cons

Office politics is obvious where managers at any level has to play the middle man when contacting someone higher. They make you drop everything you're doing when you get contacted for someone at director level and higher despite the amount of workload you receive. They are very big in temp/contract employees and take advantage of their time and work. Contract employees try to find FT roles at the company but the company prefers they don't reach out to hiring managers or recruiters about any open roles despite their experience with the company. Turnover rate is pretty high because the demand for the roles is extremely high where it's expected to do an average of 60 hours a week. Work-life-balance is non existent as people would still work on their time off

Advice to Management

If an employee is coming to you about needing additional resources, learn they type of work load they are being tasked with and their day to day. Their health with long work hours shouldn't be compromised because Edwards doesn't want to put forth the money in hiring more employees in departments where it's needed. You're a multi-billion dollar company!!!
