Low pay compared to surrounding area for same positions. No raises or bonuses every year. High turnover. Benefits look good until you actually start looking at the details -low Health premium but prescriptions not covered until deductible met -spouse unlikely to be covered if he/she is employed -notorious point system that will get you fired before using all sick pay Mandatory overtime almost every week. Only hire from outside for anything higher than supervisor positions.

None because all problems seem to stem from Corporate office and not from the local management team.

Good benefits, well known company (good for resume), good opportunities to learn some systems

VPs and up are too far removed from the rest. They don't know their team and don't know what's behind of the high level presentations they get. CEO bullies his VPs, shouting with F bombs included in meetings. So, that level of people below is not comfortable doing their jobs and many have left. That bad energy ends up cascading down. Not good positive energy to improve the business. it just felt like the alpha male with the mentality of 100 yrs ago trying to whip everybody around. There's a very tight "circle of key" people who are allowed in. Very industrial-like and old-school. Diversity not part of the culture (all white) Work-life balance not good in Finance/Accounting key roles.

Advice to Management

Management is the problem, so the advice would be for the next executive team in the future. Treat people like grown ups. Ask the best of them, but in a different manner so that they respect you and feel energized. Fear is not conducive to good business. Old school management style will only make people speak behind you, and look for other opportunities with other companies.
