Pros

* Smart coworkers, in almost all teams * Some freedom/autonomy in doing stuff (slowly fading away) * Product based teams that handle almost end-to-end responsibility of their service

Cons

* A lot of smart people have left in past year and this trend continues * CEO has been absent for sometime and it is unclear who is leading the company * There is talk of career path and promotion, but it is either very rare or slow, or it never happens * Politics and self-promotion is increasing in engineering department, not necessarily for career progress, but to get things done! * Engineering leadership is trying to scale with business and size of the department, but I wouldn't say they are doing a very good job of it
