What is the hiring process like at Parkway Laboratory Services?
Pros
Good bonus Big, well-known company Potential for gaining experience
Cons
Toxic Management styles HR does not stand for employees No proper communication channels between HR/management and employees Contracts offered are vague and can get over-written by a new one as and when needed No proper trainings given but competency is expected, and induction into job is a mess both by HR, hiring managers, IT, etc.
Advice to Management
Come down to the lab and meet the teams working hard, being overstretched due to manpower crunch so you can see what’s happening on the grounds. Stop underhiring, and then asking the employees to report back why issues arise from the crunch. People are overworked and undermotivated. It would be nice to have some form of recognition personally from the ones on top (CEO, Director of Ops) instead of offering impersonal “food rewards”. Also, you could afford to pay your staff more and not just put more responsibilities when they get promoted by name.
No proper trainings given but competency is expected, and induction into job is a mess both by HR, hiring managers, IT, etc.
