Most of the year there is a lot of overtime which means decent paychecks, but only because of the overtime.

The shop is open air so, hot in summer and cold in winter. The shop has horrible ventilation and the plasma fumes, welding fumes and exhaust from the propane forklifts really affects your health. Management is very connected and despite what they say about doing everything by the books, there’s just no other explanation for why some people are still allowed in the position they are in.

Employees need more incentive to work. None of the workers are happy to be there. The annual bonus is a joke by comparison to how much work is performed and when there’s a big push requiring 7 day workweeks, there’s no reason for the workers to even do much besides show up for the extra hours. There is no benefits for workers, there is no incentives to excel at your work, no reason to be there except for a paycheck that barely pays the bills.

Good place to learn about the transmission poles and manufacturing. Decent pay and good benefits.
