Does Telstra offer life insurance?
Pros
Above induatry pay (but you have to negotiate for it), group life insurance, health care
Cons
Long unpaid hours (I had a non-managerial post but was told my job level is near-manager even though I do menial tasks/individual work and therefore, cannot file for overtime). I was told I cannot file for Internet Allowance during pandemic because that privilege is reserved for those with 'lower' pay. Anything my manager said about me was perceived as true by the Management Team. There was once a search for someone who left his coffee cup unwashed in the pantry, I'm a heavy coffee drinker and became a suspect, after they saw the real culprit on CCTV I did not get any apology.
Advice to Management
Focus on achieving work-related targets, not unwashed coffee cups. Everybody outside managers' circle of friends should be given a chance to prove his/her worth. Not all managers tell the truth. Start giving Christmas gifts to employees (instead of allowing managers to conduct Christmas fund drives/extracting money from all office staff to give gifts to the guards and janitors). Food disappears from the fridge all the time, ask agencies for guards and janitors to send in people who respect individual property. You may have many gay managers but that does not translate to genuine diversity because of skewed office politics
