I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ALDI (Derby, England) in Jul 2019
Interview
Applied online June 11th, did online assessment at the time. Was then invited to an individual assessment on 3rd July, 1-1 chat with manager at a different store to the one i applied for. Finally invited to the "Aldi experience" (training day) at my chosen store on 12th August. whole process took 2 months, all seemed very positive. Then on 23rd August i received an email stating "you've done really well, however we do not currently have a vacancy for you, we will keep you on record for 12 months".
The whole process was incredibly slow. Felt i had wasted 2 months of my life thinking i'd secured this job, when i could have been applying to others, very foolish and won't make that nmistake again. As i say, it all was made out to me that I had done so well just for even getting an interview and then i must be really good to get to the training day which was 2 of us shadowing a staff member at our chosen store. I will say that the young fella who "trained" us had no idea that he would be doing it until he got into work on the day, and also made some derogatory comments about the manager who had interviewed me at individual assessment.
He also could not answer any crucial questions i had, such as "how many positions are you hiring for?". Seems as though it should have been the store manager training us and giving us correct and necessary information. In the end I can only assume that they were only hiring for 1 position, and of course they're going to pick the burly lad to haul around stock instead of the smartly dressed girl.

Question 1
Give me an example of a time where you provided excellent customer service
Started as a group where we were educated on the history and benefits about working at ALDI, and were asked what we think working at ALDI is like. Seemed like a good company with fair pay. The individual interview itself only asked availability.
I was first givwn the opportunity to join a group assessment, which I passed. I was then asked to attend a face-to-face interview, in-store but the manager did not come into work that day and I was asked to rearrange the interview after waiting for over an hour. Another applicant also turned uo and waited 30 minutes after I arrived
It is an online interview section where you are asked a question then you record and send. Best you use an iPhone you can several times and send the best
