AMD Electrical Engineering Internship interview questions

A manager made a phone interview with me. During the interview, he asked some basic questions about what designer should know before designing the chip? What are the factors of voltage drop? What kinds of technologies are used in recent chip design? Because I never worked in chip design company, some of the questions are for experienced designer.
