Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mencione três qualidades suas e exemplo que situações
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Adyen (New York, NY) in Sept 2022
Interview
I applied on 7/16, had a 1st round on 7/28, a 2nd round on 8/16, and a 3rd round on 9/1. Overall I had 6 interviews, and gave a presentation to a panel of 4 people. I was in the process for almost 2 months.
The reason I notated that I had a negative experience is because I believe that I interviewed very well and was a perfect fit for a role and perfectly qualified. However, I got a call after the final round and they said they were passing on me. I answered the call ready to write down the offer details on a piece of paper, so sure it was going to be an offer, because that's how confident I was about it before they told me I was rejected. *More below in the interview question detail section.*
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me to give a presentation about how Adyen can help a real company with it's challenges. I spent an entire day researching a company, researching Adyen's offerings, and creating a powerpoint. I even used a company's real challenges - they were not made up.
After my presentation they asked me a few specific office logistics and terminal logistics questions I didn't know the answer to. For example, which countries do they have offices in? I knew they had global offices but could not list all 22 locations. I'm not sure who could. They also asked a question about upgrading terminal software upon onboarding which I did not know the answer to. This seems like a very specific question as well so I'm not sure if I was supposed to have known this. At one point in the interview process I was told that the right person for the job didn't need to know all the answers all the time, but just needed to know how to find them and how to use their resources.
The reason given for my rejection was that I seemed prepared for my presentation and could not answer their questions. I was shocked by this explanation because as I had said before, all my interviews went well, I felt fully qualified based on the role and the job description, and I spent an entire day on my presentation which I felt delivered what they had asked for. If I really got rejected because I could not answer those specific questions then I am just left baffled after this process.
