The process started out good, but quickly went downhill. I was contacted by an in-house recruiter for a team lead position, had a good conversation with the department head, and completed a skills challenge. At this point the recruiter informed me that they couldn't proceed for that position because it had been filled, but that she wanted me to speak with the CTO and would get to me the following week as he was out on PTO. The next week came and went as did a couple more. At this point, I reached out inquiring about the status, but still heard nothing. 3 1/2 weeks later, the recruiter emails asking if I'd be willing to speak with some other department head without even acknowledging the complete radio silence. Not sure of the rest of the company, but the unprofessional behavior of the recruiting department was enough for me to take myself out of the process.
