I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Altria in Jan 2013
Interview
Phone interview, 3 person panel interview, day in field. Know the STAR format right off the gate. The phone interview is an hr long, questions asked after answers and trying to rattle your cage. Panel interview is the same, specific questions about times you demonstrated "teamwork" and "leadership". Day in the field is the last stage, eat a big breakfast! You basically do all the work while the tsm, unit manager, and DM watch over you like a psycho mother. Awkward for the retail manager and yourself.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time.... You were in a group project that altered its direction... A time you handled a chaotic week... A time you analyzed data outside of school... A time you lead a group... Why did you choose your school? What do you base your academic success on? Basically every stupid question about leadership, teamwork, and analytics. Sales pitch at the end of panel interview. No time to analyze, just focus on long term relationships and emphasizing our product is better.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Altria
Interview
Step one consisted of a "screen interview" with two company employees (Territory Sales Manager and District Manager). Step two was a "panel interview" with three employees (Territory Sales Manager, Unit Manager and District Manager). Third step was a "day in the field interview" with a Territory Sales Manager and a Unit Manager.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Altria (Warner Robins, GA) in Jan 2018
Interview
The overall process was very long and drawn out. There is a significant lack of communication and you are strung along for a few months all for nothing. To make it to the final third stage and then not even get a personal call telling you that you didn't receive an offer is a bit cold in my opinion. The interview process isn't pleasant.
