I had four initial phone screens for four different positions. One decided not to continue and the other three talked amongst themselves and decided to funnel me to one position. The two other recruiters said if I did not receive an offer for that position to please let them know as they would like to pursue me as a candidate for their positions.
Technical phone screen with an engineer. Final Panel Interview with four engineers and project management. Very transparent process throughout.
The recruiter sent me a list of the people, their positions, and topics they would cover for the panel interview. The panel interview comes and not only are some of the people different, but the topics are not even close to those expected. The interviews included extremely detailed questions about specific sensors and topics not listed in the application nor in the outline for the interview topics. Other panel interviewees asked me basic questions about my resume. It was an extremely confusing day of interviews to say the least.
After the final interview there was no contact for two weeks and it was apparent I was not the first choice as a candidate. I eventually received a personalized rejection email, which was appreciated.
Afterwards, the other two recruiters ghosted me despite asking for me to reach out. It's hard to tell if I am now on a 6 month cool down that seems common for Software Engineers at this company
