Interview
Replied to a job posting for essentially a front-end dev job (HTML/CSS/JS). Had a bit of a back and forth about my experience over email with the manager. I was asked to go in and talk to the manager at their Dallas office. Went fine. Took a skills test where I was given a design and asked to build it out using HTML/CSS in an hour. It was not difficult.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Apollo Interactive (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2012
Interview
I came across the job listing on Craigslist and applied for the position. They had me take a HTML,CSS, JavaScript skills test which was fair enough but seemed like overkill for the particular position I was applying for, which was basically HTML email developer. The interview was short, the interviewer went through a checklist. I did not have the opportunity to ask any questions and he did not ask to look at my portfolio.
