I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Arizona State University
Interview
One phone contact to set up interview. Two in-person interviews. One phone discussion to accept offer/negotiate salary. The interview process was quite simple really. I only had to interview with one person for the first interview, and for the second I spoke directly to the manager/supervisor who I would be working directly with.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked to tell them what I knew about [very difficult] research area that the office worked in. My job would ultimately have very little (if anything at all) to do with that research subject.
I interviewed at Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ)
Interview
Straight forward and honest! I felt like the approach was very professional. They were genuinely interested in my skills and background. I wish more organizations were able to treat potential employees like it was more than a command performance. I was very impressed.
The process typically starts with an initial screening interview, which is a brief conversation that can be conducted over the phone or through video conferencing. The screening interview is used to determine if the candidate is a good fit for the role and if they should be invited for an in-person or more extensive interview.
