I started by applying online and then finally heard back from the recruitment team about a month later for an initial chat. This first call lasted about 15 minutes, but when I didn't hear back within the timeframe they specified, I had to chase them up. The same day I followed up, I was invited for an interview with the hiring manager. That part of the process went smoothly, and the manager was very nice. However, I was then told I would hear back the following Monday, and again, nothing! I waited a few more days, and when there was still silence, I emailed the recruitment team, only to be met with silence yet again. Eventually, I received a generic email saying they decided to go with someone more suited, which is totally understandable. What I truly disliked was the silence in between and the failure to follow through on promised outcomes. It would have been much better if they had simply let me and other candidates know if there was going to be a delay or, better yet, just not set a specific expectation if they couldn't meet it.
