Recruiter reached out through LinkedIn. Recruiter started asking for PII and information that they should not require. Recruiter set up an interview with their client (Capital One). The day before the interview, they scheduled a "prep call". There was no prep. It was just a way to pressure me into giving them my PII (allow them to also take a photo of my ID card). Then sent me a fake Work Opportunity Tax Credit form that was requesting my social security. The people in the call were clearly in a call center in India. I refused to provide information. The client interview was OK, seemed legit at least. Artech again tried to push for PII and to force me to take a low rate and refuse all other companies if they gave me an offer. I told them that I was not interested in continuing as everything seemed very scammy.
WARNING: They modified my resume and sent it to the client putting false information. I saw a BBB review from another candidate saying that they did it to her too.
