Initially had written interview - MCQs. Not the correct approach to see whether a person is well versed in Java as everyone uses IDEs and google to code, even the person who had prepared the questions would have done the same. Need to get out of this format of interview. Rather give the interviewee a problem statement and ask for solution or pseudo code.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bamboo Rose (Indi, Karnataka)
Interview
I interviewed in 2018 at Bamboo Rose, and it was in-person interview at their office. I spent over half a day for the process. There were a couple of aptitude and MCQ tests after which we broke for lunch. After lunch, I had a round of a technical interview. The interview went well. The interviewer got an answer wrong but kept insisting I was wrong. On going back home, I ran the solution on IDE and indeed the interviewer was wrong. I was told my profile is more suitable for a Data Engineer over Java Developer but we will get back with the result. I never heard back. I contacted the HRs twice and each time I was told they will get back but they never got back. I invested my time and money (for the commute; the office was quite far from my place). The least they could do is get back with the result. It was an exhausting and a disappointing experience.
