It was not hard. They brought me in and asked me a set of questions. They said they receive a lot of applications, but only interview a few. It was a short process.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy (Prescott, AZ) in Aug 2015
Interview
A few days after applying online, I went to the store and gave them a hard copy of my resume and introduced myself. It took about a week or two before I got a phone call for an interview. The interview itself was pretty laid back. The team lead I met with was friendly and asked mostly situational questions, as well as my experience with electronics. The interview went well and I was called back a few days later for a second interview with the general manager. It was pretty similar to the first interview, but only maybe four or so questions followed by information about the job, asking about pay, etc. At the end, he gave me a packet with their expectations and benefits and told me to call the store back in a few days if I am still interested in working with them. I called back and spoke with the hiring manager (who had been nothing but pleasant and friendly through the whole process) who then sent me an email with the official offer, starting date, additional legal information, dress code, and policies, which I then signed. After signing, you have two business days to get a drug test taken.
easy enough to sell tvs and speakers and headphones. old tvs are good and I like color vibrant. black and white is boring. Halloween is tonight boo scare crow. orange is the new black on Netflix is cool
Was asked about availability, prior experience in retail, knowledge and use of home theater products including televisions and speaker systems. Interviewer was nice and didn't try to hit me with any "gotcha" questions.
