Base pay below industry standard. Applied, recruiter reached out to set up a call and was awesome. Birdseye’s solutions are best-in-class and the position aligned with my qualifications, so I was very excited to interview. However, once I heard the nationwide blanket base pay for the position which is significantly lower than industry standard (even taking into account the great benefits) and told there isn’t really negotiation on it, I had to decline moving along any further. Not the recruiter's fault, they were great. If the company wants to attract top producing Sr. AE talent like myself and others, the company needs to up the base by at least 15%. It will easily pay for itself! People work harder and stay longer at companies that pay fair salaries.
