I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Blue Ridge Partners (New York, NY) in Jan 2016
Interview
1) Screening phone call with recruiter: A few basic behavioral questions (why consulting, why Blue Ridge), followed by casual chat about the firm. No curve balls.
2) Online logic test: 2 hour test covering logic, reasoning, and decision making skills
3) In-person group case interview: We were a group of 8 candidates who met in NYC for a group case interview, about 5 hours long. Mine was attended by the co-founder/partner, 2 MDs, and 1 Manager. You do two cases. In the first case we were given the same materials and asked to answer the same questions in front of the group. In the second case, we were given the same materials but handled different workstreams. You work on your individual workstream before coming together with the team to create a final recommendation. I received an offer the next day from the recruiter.
Very quick turnaround and responsive team. The whole process took less than two weeks.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Blue Ridge Partners (London, England) in Feb 2026
Interview
A coffee chat followed by an aptitude test.
Once you clear the aptitude test, 3-4 rounds of interviews will be conducted. They take the aptitude very seriously. A person will proctor you live on a zoom call and you are supposed to take the test in front of them while sharing your screen.

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Blue Ridge Partners (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2024
Interview
The process went very quickly, which is great in this day and age. I had one interview, then an online assessment, and then a case interview which was analyzing excel data and then filling in a presentation. The case interview was more excel heavy than I expected so I took longer on that than I wanted to and didn’t have the best presentation. Everyone that I spoke with was nice and direct.
