I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bond Vet (New York, NY)
Interview
The recruiter was fantastic. The issue was the in person interview with the CEO, Mo. He was roughly 10 minutes late and the second he showed up he looked me up and down and didn’t even shake my hand. In the interview room he was condescending, rude, short, and uninterested. He kept asking me the same questions as if he wasn’t getting the correct answer but it was due to basic lack of knowledge on the topic. After each question I answered he would reply and then quickly ask another question so there was absolutely no room for dialogue. If that didn’t make it uncomfortable enough, he kept checking his watch. At the end he walked me out of the room, and turned around before I could even thank him or shake his hand after the interview. I checked all boxes on the application, extremely qualified for the position. But after meeting with the CEO I was thrilled to not work for the company.
I only went through the initial recruiter screening for this role, but the process was very 'human' compared to other early interviews I've gone through. The recruiter's communication was personal & clear and they followed through on the timeframes they provided, down to the day. As a candidate, getting the personal email declining further interviews is so much better than being kept in the dark. The process reflected well on the company.
