One call with hiring manager, and then onsite 4 interviews. After that, I got the call from a recruiter asking my salary expectations which didn't match. I could have utilized my time somewhere else.

More of behavioral and skill based. Not so difficult
Salary expectations should have been covered in your initial phone call with us, and I'm sorry they weren't. I want to clarify that your onsite interview was with 4 people, not that you had 4 on-site interviews. If I'm getting this wrong, please let me know.
