The interview process as a whole was absurd, I was told by the recruiter that I will be having an HR round first, but the interview was mainly technical and the interviewer was expecting in depth technical answers, later I was told that a SQL test has to completed and sent to them. The SQL test was altogether a joke as it was mainly for a SQL developer rather than a tester. I completed mine to an extent I could and I would say I did good at test, but got a call that MDSL didnot like my test answers and were expecting me to be kind of SQL developer, there were total of more than 20 questions and the ones I didnt attempt were SQL triggers and SQL indexes which I would say are totally irrelevant for a tester.
The job spec stated that having SQL knowledge would be advantageous but mainly they wanted manual + automation tester, so I quite didnt understand the reason of rejecting me.
Overall pretty bad experience and I would say MDSL themselves dont know what exactly they are looking for.
