Interview
Started with questions from the COO then went to questions with two underwriting heads. the questions weren't difficult but I felt disrespected after the interview process was over. They weren't even going to contact me saying I didn't get the position until I emailed them weeks later.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at CapSpecialty (Middleton, WI) in Jan 2025
Interview
Talked with two members of the underwriting team I would be joining and was then introduced to a third about 3/4 of the way through. Questions were pretty basic and the guys were nice enough. Know why you wanna work there and what you like about insurance and the specific sector you are interviewing for.

Question 1
Since insurance can be boring what motivates you to get out of bed in the morning and be excited for work?
The leaders on the interview panel that I met with all appeared over worked and unhappy. The interaction and questions resulted in me rapidly losing interest in the role. I could be wrong, but it seemed like they were all looking for someone to come in so they could hand them their less desired workload.
