      Analyst Interview

      12 Jan 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CapTech in Oct 2014

      Interview

My first-round interview took place on campus. It was entirely behavioral and very laid back. Most of the questions they asked were very general. I was asked to come to Richmond, VA for the final interviews and a meet & greet with the employees. The meet & greet was great. They spoke a little bit about the culture there. Definitely a work-hard, play-hard type of place. I also got to speak with tons of people in the company across many different departments. They all seemed very passionate and appeared to sincerely enjoy working at CapTech. I came away very impressed. The final-round interviews were not too bad. Two behavioral interviews with two interviewers each, followed by a case interview with one interviewer. The behavioral interviews were similar to the first-round interview but more centered around project management processes and how you would react in hypothetical scenarios. The case interview required no math, but instead involved you planning out how to implement technological solutions using SDLC. Each interview was about 15 minutes. I struggled with the case interview since I didn't know much about SDLC coming in, but even though I didn't get an offer, I still found the process to be quite pleasant. CapTech is a great place to work and I would have accepted immediately had I been offered.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CapTech in Oct 2016

      Interview

The entire Interview process consisted of three 30 minute behavioral interviews and one 30 minute technical interview. The first interview took place on campus, and we discussed my past experiences. The atmosphere is very laid back, and the interviewers were very friendly and easy to talk to. After the interview you will hear something within a week/week in half. If you get a second interview, that will take place at their headquarters in Richmond, VA (that's only the case if you live in VA. I can't speak for what they do for people outside of Virginia.)

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CapTech (Reston, VA) in Mar 2016

      Interview

The interview process was 100% enjoyable. Each person I met made me more sure that CapTech would be a great fit for a self-motivated professional. The environment throughout was fun and conversational. I was contacted by a recruiter and had about a half hour exploratory phone conversation with her. She asked if I would like to connect with someone of roughly my experience level who had been employed at CapTech for about a year. I had another (mostly exploratory) lunch conversation with this CapTecher. I was invited to have a technical skype interview, which was another half-hour. Though it was supposed to be technical, we mostly talked about the technical aspects of previous jobs I had and projects I had completed. There was a coding question which was to write a couple simple functions. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview, which consisted of three 30-minute conversations. Each interview was different - the first was a bit more me asking her questions, the second was about my experience and a little more technical/client focused, and the last was conversational. The interview process was fair, and each CapTecher I met was social, professional, and excited about the company.
