I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Capital One
Interview
The interview process contains a case review along with behavioral questions from several people in the company. Historically there have been three separate rounds of casing in the last interview day.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Capital One in Nov 2011
Interview
Capital One recruited at my school, which consisted of of 3 rounds (or 2 rounds depending on your view):
1st round: 45-minute one-on-one interview with a senior employee, which is divided into 20-30 minute case interview, and the rest behavioral interview. My interviewer just chatted with me for the behavioral part, mostly because I had a ton of questions and she was happy to answer them. If you pass this, they invite you to the next step.
2nd round: a series of online assessment. One behavioral and one analytical assessment. I did not pass this although I am pretty curious as to what part I did not pass. I thought the assessment was pretty standard and straightforward. If you pass this though, then they invite you to a "power day" interview at the nearby hotel where the recruiting team was staying.
3rd round: I am told by friends who made it that it's a series of back-to-back interviews, 1 behavioral and 2 cases. My 1st round interviewer told me that the cases will be more complicated and longer than the 1st round case.
Capital One had a very aggressive recruiting season at my school this year in the fall. Their CEO, Rich Fairbanks, came to give a talk prior to the application deadline; they held one formal info session in addition to the career fair; and their recruiting team members participated in many other resume/interview/info workshops organized by our career center. They also had a reception dinner for candidates invited to 1st round interview. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience with pursuing Capital One's offer for an analyst position. I'll probably try again in 6 months before graduation. It seems like a great place to work and launch your career in business development and/or finance.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Capital One in Jan 2019
Interview
One hour case interview over the phone, and then they flew me out to McLean, VA for a super day. The super day consisted of two case interviews and then a product interview
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in Nov 2018
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter through my school's job portal. From there I applied and then was sent a written case interview. After that, I was contacted by a recruiter saying I made it to the in-person interviews. They paid for my hotel and flight to VA. Three in-person interviews that lasted an hour each and then lunch with current people in the program. Got an email 2 weeks later saying they decided on other candidates.
