ConocoPhillips Interview Questions

Interviewed by Human Resources, panel with project team members, and toured facility. First interviewed in February and was hired in April. Start to finish approx 8 weeks with international visit in between for expat position.

Very smooth and nice interviewers, do lots of research and be yourself, and it won't be too hard to get. More STAR-based questions so practice similar questions for the interview.

The interview was a breeze. Very Welcoming. Interview had three panels, one senior engineer, one junior engineer and the hiring manager. Questions were mostly behavioural. They just want to get to know you. Be prepared to walk through your resume.

Phone Screening that was a more get to know you type of session. Behavioral interview with some technical questions like accounting based stuff. Example walk me through an income statement and explain to me how the three financial statements come together.

Process was very welcoming. Was hired through on campus rents and networking with recruiters. Process was very smooth and authentic. Advice would be to just be authentically you! Also be prepared to ask meaningful questions that are important to you.

STAR type questions. One on campus interview then to onsite interview with dinner and tour of campus. They will be watching how you interact with other candidates and other members of the company.

the interview was between three other hr people and they were very nice. they began with the typical debriefing questions like what are examples of me using diversity and inclusion in the workplace and then followed up with star method questions

It was mainly focused on soft skills with non technical questions. They want to see how you will respond to adversity or hard work. They asked about 3 or 5 questions. Make sure you have your Tell me about yourself question down.

Fairly standard in-person technical interview for subsurface professional role in Calgary. There were no technical questions per se, beyond ordinary questions about experience. They asked about salary expectations. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Online interview, friendly people. No difficult or technical questions, more behavioral questions like describe a time you had to lead a group of people...etc. I suggest to read on the company's operation and just be relaxed and friendly.
