I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Costco Wholesale (New York, NY)

      Interview

I have heard many good things on how Costco treats their employees, but that doesn't mean that they have to treat interviewees this bad. I was interviewed for E-commerce team. Recruiter contacted me in September and scheduled a 30 minute phone interview in a week. I was called by one of the developers, most of the questions were about SQL transactions and debugging, one can only answer them if they have working experience. Recruiter scheduled it for 30 mins but the interviewer wanted to extend it for a hour and I was okay with it, over all the interview went really well. After this, I was following up with the recruiter every Monday to see if there are any updates from the team. After few weeks I head from the recruiter that the team is interested in bringing me for an on-site but God knows when. During thanks giving I emailed recruiter that I would be in Seattle if they want to do on-site and I was replied that the team wants to do an on-site interview on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving this interview is with the team and I was told if I did good I would be invited on Wednesday to meet the director. On Tuesday I was interviewed with a team of 3 developers most of the questions are scenario based. I loved the interview with the director he was very calm and was really interested in knowing about me and the kind of work I have done in the past. After the onsite it's again the waiting game, I was following up every Monday and I was told that their website was having issues during Thanksgiving and team is busy fixing them and don't have time to make a decision. Even the new year passed by still no response. At one time I literally felt that what kind of a company takes this long. Finally this week I heard that I didn't get the job and reason was they don't want to sponsor. I feel that this is very rude, they should have known these sponsorship details way ahead in the process.
