      Territory Sales Representative Interview

      10 Apr 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Crafco (New York, NY) in Feb 2019

      Interview

First I had a phone interview with the regional sales manager, then a few weeks later he flew to my location in Saint Louis for a face to face interview. After a few weeks they called and scheduled another phone interview with the national sales manager. I got a call after a week or so saying I did very well in my interviews and they wanted me to fly out to their headquarters in Phoenix Arizona. I flew into Phoenix on a Monday morning and was picked up by the national manager and we went straight to the headquarters, after arriving there I went through multiple interviews with another regional manager, HR manager, marketing manager and the national sales manager. We took a break for lunch and then I was given tours of both the Crafco plants down the road from headquarters. After visiting both plants we went back to the office and I was told that I did very well and they would have their decision by the following Tuesday. I didn't hear anything back from them after that Tuesday so I made a follow up phone call that went unanswered and I never received a return call. Finally after three and a half weeks after my trip out to Phoenix I got a TEXT saying that I didn't get the position with absolutely no explanation of why . I ended up finding out that they still haven't filled the position and they have went through several rounds of job listings for this same position. I wouldn't have been so upset with this experience if I had some kind of line of communication and at least a phone call and just at least let me know why I was not chosen for the job. I can certainly understand if they have a more experienced candidate but I received nothing after several months of going through their hiring process. It would have been extremely helpful to hear some feedback. Lots of time waisted but at the end of the day I guess I'm happy I didn't get an offer as I wouldn't want to work for a company that operates that way anyways.
