I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crunch Fitness (Rocklin, CA) in Jul 2013
Interview
It is a three stage interview, the Fitness manager, general manager and then the owner. After the job was offered you are required to go through a background check which can take anywhere from 1 week to a month. Mine was fairly fast and was able to work within a week of final interview.
Apparently, it is an extremely competitive environment. The interview felt like an investigation. They are expecting someone to spend the whole day at the gym, even though I apply as a part-time trainer.
