I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Currys (London, England) in Dec 2016
Interview
Was a really pleasant experience. Three-part interview: meeting with the hiring manager, followed by the development manager, followed by a technical lead. Everyone I met was polite and conversation was free-flowing. It felt less like a interrogation (in the typical question and answer structure) and more like a free-flowing conversation about technologies I'd been using and they were using, (during which they were able to probe my knowledge and understanding).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Technical task (simple vanilla JS function written on paper), followed by questions (some multiple choice, some single / multiple line answers), followed by 1:1 conversations with the development manger and technical lead.
One of poorest recruitment procedures I have ever experienced. The agency I was dealing with was even worse. I was fed a few lies plus secrecies were held from me.
Just to give some of my experience with Simplify, they claimed they would still conduct interviews after hiring someone despite the existence of just one vacancy! They justified this in the event that the successful applicant withdraws or leaves the job. Think about what this means. They would interview for a non-existent job, thereby wasting your time and energy! This is clearly unacceptable. I was left wondering if they already hired someone before interviewing me. But if a candidate was interviewed by them after being hired elsewhere with the intention not to move jobs, they wouldn't find that acceptable, which shows the inconsistency.
Firstly I'm sorry that your experience has not been positive.
1. We're in the process of overhauling all our agency partners to make sure they represent us how we'd like to be. It's always disappointing to hear that candidates have had a negative experience via an agency and we're working to make sure this never happens.
2. We'd never claim to continue interviewing for a position after someone joins us. Offers are made subject to satisfactory reference checks and once an offer is accepted interviewing is stopped for that position.

Interview
asked all the things which I think was irrelevant because i knew this job was going to be offered as there were no emp in the technology they were looking for in kerala...so i was sure the technical rounds and HR rounds were irelevant for anything ...whats distance between my house and office and convert them into different formats of measures and how would you interpret the data.
