I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Encompass Health (Henderson, NV) in Apr 2017
Interview
I was interviewed by the Chief Nurse and a Staff nurse. They were very welcoming and nice. I was asked a series situational questions in which I think I did well. I had the feeling that they were more focused on assessing my attitude and work ethics which is an essential aspect in nursing as well. After the question and answer portion, the Chief Nurse discussed how it's like to work in HealthSouth, my job description, and expectations. I was offered several advises and information which I really appreciate.

Question 1
Who do you think is responsible in toileting the patient?
Very friendly supervisor and casual interview. HR contacted me initially to do a prescreening and then I was able to go in for an interview person interview. The management is all very supportive and was introducing themselves to me
No clinical questions, case studies, or prioritization type questions asked, but be prepared to answer several behavioral questions related to patient care and how you handle conflict or difficult situations.
I applied online. I interviewed at Encompass Health (Glendale, AZ) in Mar 2026
Interview
Phone interview on a Thursday. Interview scheduled on a Monday morning. Met with the nursing supervisor and nursing manager. Basic interview questions asked. The recruiter told me to wear scrubs cuz I may have to shadow but that wasn’t offered. Wasn’t given a tour either. I left unsure about how the interview went. I emailed the recruiter a few hours later and thanked her for coordinating the interview and to keep my updated on the status and she emailed me a few minutes later and told me an offer is being made and she’d call me. Overall, great experience and I appreciated the same day offer.
