Essex Property Trust interview questions

I applied on indeed and had a phone screening the next day and set up a video interview over the phone for the next day. During the video interview I was given a in person interview scheduled for the next week. The in person interview was very relaxed and ended with a tour of the property. It was on Friday, I received a phone call on Tuesday with an offer.

Bad interview experience. The interview process for the analyst and data positions is over-the-top and unrealistic for a standard data analyst role. For the technical round, I was given 10 questions using 5 different datasets to complete within 90 minutes. I have worked as a Senior Analyst for more technical roles than this one -- way too much data and Excel processes, etc. demanded of the Senior Analyst position, makes way for multiple mistakes and improper analysis. The position pays under 60% of what you should be getting for the Bay Area. Did informational interviews with the current team, which confirmed that interview process is way over-the-top for the work culture and compensation at Essex. Similar experience to other negative reviews of this company. Avoid.
