      Business Analyst Intern Interview

      14 Nov 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      McLean, VA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Excelacom (McLean, VA) in Oct 2011

      Interview

The main recruiter and one of their lead consultants gave a presentation to my club one day. After I talked to the recruiter and consultant for a little bit, I applied to the position on my school's job website. She then later emailed me inviting me to an office visit. The office visit consisted a difficult interview with the CFO, he asked a lot of technical questions about the telecommunications industry and supply chain management. I then had another technical interview with the consultant I met previously at my club. He asked me why I wanted to be consultant then just right into diagramming. At first he wanted me to do an ERD but I told him we were learning how to do those next week, he understood then he wanted me to plan out and design an information system. He gave me a restaurant case and wanted me to plan and draw out how exactly the information system would work. Overall, he liked my conclusion and answers. A little bit over three weeks later the main recruiter called me to tell me that I did not get the position.
