I scheduled a phone screen with a recruiter and they told me that they already selected a candidate for the position during the call. Before the call, I prepared for a good hour learning about the company and prepping for the interview. Wished that they let me know ahead of time and not waste candidates' time if they already filled the position. Incredibly unprofessional and will not apply again.
