      SDE-II Interview

      17 Jul 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Bengaluru
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Flipkart (Bengaluru) in Jul 2014

      Interview

Hiring process is good. After the initial telephonic round, they took lot of time to get back for further rounds. They have a good understanding of what to look for in people they are hiring. I had 5 rounds of interview apart from telephonic. Machine coding, Data Structures and Algorithms, Product Perspective (with Product Management), Hiring manager and Design. Data structures and algorithms knowledge with good coding skills will help crack the interview.

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Flipkart (Bengaluru) in May 2017

      Interview

Took 2 weeks, 2 telephonic followed by 4 Rounds at Onsite in Banglore Office. Overall: Bad Interview Experience. HM was expecting technology specific candidate. 1. 2 Telephonic Interviews were about problem-solving and coding - Easy 2. Onsite Machine Coding - Implement given set of sales system in 90 mins - Judge didn't have any specific requirement - He didn't even look at the code - Seems not intrested all the time. Didn't asked any questions during evaluation. 3. Problem Solving - Hashing and Array Problem 4. Design Round High Level and Low-level Design - Interviewers didn't set the expectation correctly and were diverting questions all round the system. Looked like they had a specific answer in mind. Made fun of Me during the interview as they flipped questions when something or the other was being told. 5. Hiring Manager - Round 4 Guys gave Feedback to Hiring Manager immediately outside which I could hear and overall Hiring Manager was talking how I am not fit for this role :). He actually was not interested in the work I have done, He kept on telling his requirement for the candidate instead of identifying if the candidate has potential. How he has done good work and how he changed companies and all. The manager gave Unrealistic and technology specific requirement. The manager should see resume and work done by the candidate before inviting candidate onsite or Including in process if such is the requirement for the role.

      SDE-II Interview

      21 Feb 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Flipkart in Jan 2015

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter over hire.jobinvite. Then i was scheduled for a telephonic round. All the interviewers were very humble and tried to make me comfortable. Only two things matter- DS&algos AND design to clear the interview. Design seem to be more important as even after 100% strike rate in DS, I could not clear. :( First round- Telephonic ---------------------------------------------------- intersection node of 2 LinkedLists implement stack and keep track of min element (use 2 stacks) n processes with some dependencies, how to execute them in minimum time (topology sort) Then I was called for F2f to bangalore. All the expenses were paid by company. F2F round 1- ---------------------------------------------------- design policy based cache F2F round 2- ---------------------------------------------------- DS based 1. closest leaf 2. topology sort 3. 3 tuple that form sum and then optimize it further F2F round 3- ---------------------------------------------------- data modeling and object modeling Design online test The process was good. focus is on DESIGN. Best of luck... !!
