The interview process was very disappointing and felt impersonal:
The video interview included a faulty link for the assigned task, making it difficult to complete.
The Excel task submission required ME to follow up with the recruiter to receive any feedback.
During the interview with the co-founder, the discussion completely skipped over logistics, as if the process was solely designed to see whether it could continue. The interview itself felt more like being tested on random trivia: ad hoc math questions, task corrections, and a language test for a skill that was not listed as a requirement for the role.
Finally, the recruitment conversation blindsided me. I was told I was not suitable for the position I had applied for, but “offered” a different, experimental position with requirements that were unclear. The proposed compensation was far below the budget I had indicated, and the role was positioned as a junior level, whereas I had applied for a mid-senior position.
Overall, the process was highly unconventional and disappointing. Candidates should be prepared for a start-up style approach that may feel more like testing for a large company’s process rather than a clear, structured recruitment experience.
