The interview process was really relaxed for this position. I initially interviewed with Julie Brown, which went really well. She's very easy to talk to, and my conversations with her felt more like chatting with a friend than trying out for a job. I was referred as an intern for Glassdoor, and Julie helped me figure out which area would work best with my interests and background. It was obvious throughout the process that she genuinely cared about whether I would fit in at Glassdoor, and about matching my personal interests and career goals. Julie went on to become my supervisor, and without her I would be graduating this December '15 not having any idea what to do next.
I also interviewed with Marcus DuBois, and he asked me more hard-hitting questions about my own ideas for their social media accounts, which I would later help run. I had already been following most of their accounts, which probably saved me in that interview. Overall, the recruiting team seemed extremely professional. They always got back to me promptly, and the whole interview-to-offer experience probably took a month. I knew by February that I would be starting at Glassdoor in June.
