      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Gong

      Interview

The only thing worse than being ghosted is being strung along. I applied via referral and had a positive phone screen with the internal recruiter, who told me I'd be scheduled with the hiring manager the next week. If I may say so, I'm more than qualified for the role and the culture fit seemed great. I understand things slip, so I followed up the next Tuesday and the recruiter assured me they were running behind schedule. Rinse and repeat that every few days for a few weeks. It got so bad I emailed the hiring manager and heard the same thing from them. Finally, I stopped because it seems like they're not serious about filling the role. If this is how they treat well-qualified referral candidates, I hate to think of how they treat cold applicants. Or their employees.

      Question 1

To their credit, the screening interview was more conversational than Q&A.

Thank you for your feedback. I apologize for the experience you had over the past few weeks - this is certainly not the #RavingFans experience we're aiming for our candidates. We would love to better understand what went wrong during the process and see what went wrong. Would you be open to scheduling some time to connect in person? Please feel free to contact our head of recruiting and myself at recruiting@gong.io Thanks, Eran Aloni COO

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gong

      Interview

My application went into a void, but luckily I networked and found someone who worked at Gong, who was kind enough to get me in front of a human. The recruiter was excellent, and I made it through several of the crazy number of stages in a highly competitive market, but in the second to last interview, I explicitly asked the VP if there was any reason they would not move forward with me to the next step, and was told no, we look forward to the role-play presentation. Days go by and then I received a rejection notice with little feedback or opportunity to address the objection. Gong seems like a great innovative company, but culture is very important to me, and I cannot work for a business that does not demonstrate honesty and integrity. throughout the candidate journey.
