I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Google in Aug 2010
Interview
Because of the rapid growth of department that was hiring, the actual requirements and the responsibilities were not as clear as could be. For example, it became clear during my interview that the position would not involve any strategy development for at least a few years, but this was not clearly indicated in the job description nor in my conversations with the recruiter.
However, the overall experience was positive. I learned a lot about Google by participating in the interview.
