The interview process regarding Job Simulation Assessment was organized and easy to follow through. The interview was conducted fully in English. The interview was held online through the company website.

Honestly pretty disgusted by the application process for HSBC graduate programmes. I applied within the first couple of days and progressed to online tests and then a video interview which I completed in early October. I then heard absolutely nothing until I contacted them in late January because I knew the assessment centres were starting to take place. I asked if my application was still being considered and told me they were still processing applications and not to worry. A month and a half later I get an email from HR saying they have completed all assessment centres and unfortunately therefore there is no space to progress my application or able to provide any feedback. I would understand not getting a place in an AC if I had applied late and they had already been filled or if my video interview wasn’t good enough but it took them over five months to send me a generic rejection email that makes it sound like they haven’t even looked at my video interview. They offered no feedback regarding my video interview. I don’t mind being rejected as I understand competition for schemes like this is high but something is fundamentally flawed with their system or staff processing applications if it takes five months to reject someone. Would not recommend applying because I feel like I wasted a huge amount of time and effort put into my application only to receive an insulting non personal rejection email. Very disappointed in their application process especially when I made sure to apply early.
