Got reached out by HR on linkedIn and scheduled an interview with founder.
And on the day of interview, the guy asked some questions from my job which was 5 years ago so I was little confused. But I was able to answer questions. Then he gave me some generic system design problem to which I answered that I will use some distributed caching system like redis and then he started grilling me about Redis internals like how redis eviction and if there are any memory and cpu overhead for them. I answered and explained my reasoning. And then the guy says to share my screen and prompt questions to ChatGPT... in the interview. And the whole time was spent in prompting questions and then describing the answers.
I don't understand what was the reasoning behind this. Did they want someone for prompt engineer role. And during the interview, the guy was also doing something else on his system as he was just frantikly typing away. I guess being at that position would mean you are doing a lot of things paralely. And when I asked for feedback from the HR, they just ghosted me.
I guess I dodged a bullet.
