I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Imperva in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview was conducted online via Teams, and the interviewer arrived 20 minutes late. The session lacked structure, as the questions were random and basic, covering topics like:
The use of std::move and what it does.
Examples of new features in C++11, C++14, and C++17.
When discussing std::move, the interviewer insisted it was simply "casting." I politely corrected him, but he was dismissive and told me I was wrong. From that point on, anything I said was either ignored or dismissed. Additionally, the coding question was not fully explained, and the interviewer seemed eager to wrap things up quickly. At one point, he muted me to talk to his friends, which I noticed since I could read his lips.
I've had several interviews over the past month, but this one was something else. It stood out for all the wrong reasons—disorganized, unprofessional, and frankly, a frustrating experience.
